TESTIMONIALS

Liam aged 39 years old.

I first came to see Tommy having been suffering from Achilles pain for
over 12 months. Previous treatments had failed to alleviate the discomfort
and I had to stop playing five a side. Following an assessment and gait
analysis Tommy made me some orthotics to correct my poor foot position and
reduce stress on the Achilles tendon. This was accompanied by calf
stretches and an Achilles tendon exercise regime. He was able to make
insoles specifically for my football boots and a pair for my works shoes.
Within 6 weeks I was back playing five a side football and light jogging,
something I had not done for over 12 months. I found Tommy friendly and
accessible and could email him with any queries or advice that I needed
I am involved with IM Marsh junior football teams and know Tommy has
worked extensively with the young footballers who have had knee and heel
pain.

Chris Henry, aged 50 years old.

I am an avid runner of over 30 years and have competed internationally recently in a veterans competition in Italy. I still regularly run around 50-60 road miles per week. I have been plagued by left heel pain and calf strain over a number of years with the last two years resulting in a stress fracture to my right tibia. I was told that I would not run again as I was too vulnerable to injuries. I had an assessment with Tommy who diagnosed a leg length difference with my right leg being longer. This had resulted in increased forces through my tibia as a result of my foot over pronating and therefore the fracture. Adaptations in my left foot to this leg length difference had resulted in chronic heel pain (plantar fasciitis) and numerous calf strains. Tommy was able to make a set of sports insoles to address the leg length discrepancy, reduce heel pain and prevent subsequent calf strains.
I now run pain free.

Charlie aged 13 years, Severs Disease.

My son Charlie is a keen footballer and cricket player. On two occasions having had a growth spurt he was troubled with debilitating heel pain which was preventing him train and play his football. We came to see Tommy and he diagnosed Severs Disease which is a common painful condition found in growing active children. Tommy advised us on some calf stretches and made some insoles specific for Charlie's football boots and school shoes. Charlie was able to continue with his football and training pretty much up to the same level as before the pain started, he was thereby able to keep his place in the team and didn't lose fitness.
